Andy graduated with a Bachelor of Environmental Design and a  Masters in Architecture from Dalhousie University after receiving his Bachelor of Arts from University of British Columbia. Upon completion of his Masters degree, he moved to London, U.K. where he worked as a consultant specialising in the design of facades for iconic buildings such as the BT Tower and BBC World News Headquarters in central London.  

He was also a guest speaker at Newcastle University lecturing in regards to architectural facade technology and he also tutored at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York City for a course about tensile and pneumatic structures.

Andy’s role as lead exterior designer on the Alan Turing Building for Manchester University helped the project win the NW Regional Construction Award for Sustainability in 2007.  He also played a key role in a team of designers and engineers that won an international competition for the construction of Ponte della Musica, a new bridge spanning across the Tiber River in Rome.    

In 2006, he moved to Chicago where he worked on large-scale international projects.  In 2010 he returned to his home city of Vancouver where he worked on a range of projects: from large scale commercial/ institutional buildings such as the Thurlow office tower and Telus World of Science; to more intimate settings such as the interior design for a restaurant franchise. In 2015 Andy started a small freelance business where he focused on residential interior renovations for houses and apartments. 

Throughout his 15 year career, Andy remains passionate about design excellence. He brings global perspective and versatility to his Works.  A successful project means collaboration between design team and client, innovative solutions, and a caring and dedicated attitude.
